The FN 509 MRD FOS is patterned after the handgun chosen by the LAPD. This striker fired 9mm pistol features a 4 inch target crowned hammer forged barrel, flat faced precision trigger and the FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System for rapid installation of the most common miniature red dot optics. The front fiber optic sight co witnesses with most MRDs for a clear sight picture day or night.

It boasts enhanced ergonomics with aggressive grip texturing interchangeable backstraps full ambidextrous controls and a MIL STD 1913 accessory rail. The durable matte black finish polymer frame and polished chamber ensure reliable feeding and extraction across all ammunition types while delivering smooth consistent performance.
